Handisure, the self engaging child safety doorstop that won Platinum and the Diamond David Nicholas OBE Design Award at bis, is now on sale on Amazon in the UK and the US.
Invented and designed in the UK by surgeon Pulathis Siriwardana, it clips over a standard door hinge with no tools. When the door is opened it engages by itself and stops the door from closing, protecting little fingers on both the hinge side and the lock side.
It fits standard internal doors with standard butt hinges, 33 to 37 mm and 43 to 47 mm thick, and is certified to British and European standards. It is not for sliding or bi-fold doors.
