Dr Mark Morrison – CEO Institute of Nanotechnology (IoN).  Trained as a molecular biologist and worked as a post doctoral research fellow specializing in vaccine and gene therapy vectors before joining the IoN to lead its activities in the European Framework Programmes.  The IoN is a membership organization which works closely with government, industry, and academia to provide world class information and analysis on nanotechnology developments and how these can benefit wider society.

The Semi Final Awards.

The British Invention of the Year Jury will score the exhibits, Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals will be awarded to those who in the their opinion have reached the score and standard required.

The Gold Silver and Bronze medal winners are narrowed down by score and deliberation for the GRAND FINAL.

The 34 grand final winners, 5 outright winners and winner of the World Invention Award will be announced during the British Invention of the Year Awards Dinner on 15th October, PALM COURT, Alexandra Palace, London. Programme commences at 7pm. Dress; National Dress or Black Tie.

Further awards are presented by a number of international participants.
