How many years has the show been running?

BIS 2008 will be the 8th BIS show. Hundreds of inventors and their inventions from around the world are set to battle it out for the coveted World Invention Award.

When is BIS 2009?

BIS 9 returns 14-15-16-17 - OCTOBER 2009

Who are the delegates?

Many visitors are looking out  for emerging innovative products that may compliment their existing portfolio or grow an entirely new business in perhaps an unknown industry. Visitors comprise a combination including; general public, buyers, manufacturers, investors, inventors, agents and support services.

Is everyone eligible for the awards?

Inventions, innovations and designs are eligible to have their invention/s judged by a panel of leading experts in the field of industry and invention, a completed online application form must be completed for each entry.

The awards are organised by the BIS Board.

British Invention of the Year Awards Dinner.

When and where will the awards ceremony take place?

Judging will take place from 10AM Thursday 16th - Friday 17th October 2008 in the exhibition hall. The dinner awards ceremony : 7PM Friday 17th, The Palace Suite, Alexandra Palace

The British invention of the Year Judges will award Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals to those who in the opinion of the Judges have reached the standard required.

The Gold Silver and Bronze medal winners are narrowed down for the GRAND FINAL.

The 33 winners and the 5 outright winners will be announced during the British Invention of the Year Awards Dinner.
